Let's face it, leadership matters, leadership makes a difference. When your institutions, departments or teams are faced with challenges, lead them with a focused vision for a success culture. COVID-19 exposed institutional leadership like nothing we have faced before. The pandemic created its own culture. Leadership matters. Culture is what we allow or create. Energy flows where energy goes. Creating a culture that drives results is ultimately a culture that values innovation across all parts of the institution, department or teams. Innovation is not only about winning, but it encouraging your institution to become better, stronger and smarter in its internal operations. Work place behaviors change and grows stronger and more consistent once the C66 Consulting team enters your building.
Too often leaders focus on changing behaviors without addressing the root cause of performance. The vision of 66 Executive Wellness Consulting is about training on a powerful way of understanding the connection between culture (the way people think and act) and the results that are achieved. * Academic Progress Rate APR
Graduation Success Rate (GSR)
Name - Image - Likeness (NLI)
This three areas that impact the eligibilit of student athletics are important for universities administrators to know and understand. Not just universities, but high school coaches, and parents as well. Dr C. wants to share some brief nots
Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR)
Implemented in 2003 as part of an ambitious academic reform effort in Division Academic Progress Rate (APR) holds institutions accountable for the academic progress of their student-athletes through a team-based metric that accounts for the eligibility and retention of each student-athlete for each academic term. The best measure was the graduation rate calculated under the federally mandated methodology that was based on a six-year window and did not take transfers into account.
In addition to developing the APR came GSR
·A graduation rate methodology that more accurately reflects student-athlete transfer patterns and other factors affecting graduation (the rate is called the Graduation Success Rate). The NCAA GSR differs from the federal calculation in two important ways. First, the GSR holds colleges accountable for those student-athletes who transfer to their school. Second, theGSR does not penalize colleges whose student-athletes leave the institution in good academic standing. Under this federal formula, student-athlete cohorts must consist only of first-time, full-time freshmen entering in a givenfall term while receiving athletically related financial aid. Student-athletes not receiving suchaid at entry and those who transfer into the institution are not included in the cohort. Transfers out of any school are considered academic failures according to this methodology. The federal rate does not account for students who transfer from their original institution and graduate elsewhere. Not only does the original school get penalized for that transfer student, the school from which the student eventually graduates does not get credit for a graduate
Academic Based Revenue Distribution
Beginning in Spring 2020, a portion of Division I revenue is distributed to member schools based on the academic achievement of student-athletes. The model allows schools with higher graduation rates and academic success to qualify for more funds.
The Criteria
A school earns an academic unit by meeting any ONE of the three standards. Graduation Success Rate for most recently available year is equal to or greater than 90 percent. The average of single-year rates for all teams is used. Difference between student-athlete and student body percentages in the most recently published Federal Graduation Rate is equal to or greater than 13 percentage points.
·Academic Progress Rate for the previous year is equal to or greater than 985. The average of single-year scores for all teams is used to determine eligibility for this standard.
